Dear Hollywood UMC Family:
Today is St. Patrick’s Day, a day known more for wearing green and eating corned beef and cabbage than about the man, Patrick. He was a devout Christian who denounced the evils of slavery and human trafficking that were commonly practiced in his day. And while he didn’t drive the snakes out of Ireland, he did write some beautiful prayers.
Make your own St. Patrick’s Day complete by joining us this evening for our Reboot service @ 7 pm in the chapel. And this weekend, come to our Saturday night pasta dinner @ 5:30 in the gym, followed by a Mighty Love service @ 7 pm in the chapel with Rev. Dave preaching. Sunday morning I’ll be preaching on “Jesus and the Extravagant Woman” while a host of our folks cheer on the marathoners at Mile 11.
